Course II – lectures 3 and 4 examines the Kabbalah of Being (or Creation) known as Maaseh Bereishis. We will learn about the building blocks of existence from an ancient work called the Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Formation). Selections from other ancient Kabbalistic works, such as the Sefer HaBahir and the Zohar, provide us with the blueprint of existence. We will also come to understand this blueprint in the inner world of a person, in terms of what are referred to as soul powers. Lecture 5 discusses the Kabbalah of Revelation or Prophecy and Lecture 6 will discuss techniques used to achieve the revelatory state.
Rabbi Moshe Miller was born in South Africa and received his yeshivah (rabbinical seminary) education in Israel and America.
He is a prolific author and translator, with more than twenty books to his name on a wide variety of topics, including an authoritative, annotated translation of the Zohar, and a translation of Rabbi Moshe Cordovero's classic Tomer Devorah with original commentary and annotation (Targum Press) and several Chassidic works. He is currently working on a commentary on the Sefer Yetzirah, an ancient kabbalistic classic. He has also written numerous articles on Kabbalah and is the author of one of the most popular JLI courses ever, "The Kabbalah of Character." He taught in various yeshivas for many years and now lectures on a wide variety of topics, but particularly those associated with Kabbalah and Kabbalistic psychology.
He inspires, coaches and guides clients according to a proprietary Kabbalistic model he developed. He currently lives in Chicago for some reason he can’t quite fathom.
